Thaddeus M. Antoine

Mr. Thaddeus M. Antoine is the founder and Managing Partner of TM ANTOINE Partners. Prior to establishing the firm, Mr. Antoine served as the Managing Partner of the dissolved law firm of Francis & Antoine for some 12 years. Mr. Antoine is an English trained Barrister having been called to the English Bar with Lincolns Inn in the year of 2000 and to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, Saint Lucia of the same year. Mr. Antoine hold a Masters of laws (LL.M) in Corporate and Commercial Law with specialization in International Banking Law, International Trust Law, International Tax Law, Electronic Banking Law and Intellectual Property Law from Kings College, University of London.

Mr. Antoine has had the privilege of serving as a Senator in the Upper House (The Senate) of Saint Lucia. Further, he has served on a number of public and private Board of Directors including Chairman-National Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, Radio Saint Lucia, Deputy Chairman-Saint Lucia Tourist Board, Blue Coral, Tax Appeal Commission of Saint Lucia, EC Global Insurance, BOSLIL Finance, RED Unlimited, Secretary-Saint Lucia Bar Association, 1st Vice President-OECS Bar Association and currently President of the OECS Bar Association. Mr. Antoine has worked very hard to continue to build and maintain his expertise and solid reputation as one of the leading young legal practitioners on island. Mr. Antoine is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

My work with citizenship by investment started as the Chief Executive Officer of the Citizenship by Investment Unit in Saint Lucia. There I worked very hard to develop processes and procedures that allowed interested persons to apply for citizenship of my most beloved country. It was difficult but fulfilling work because I saw clearly how I could solve two real problems – helping people who need a second citizenship and facilitating the increase of foreign direct investment for Saint Lucia.

It was definitely a challenge applying my previous experience in operations management and organizational development to an industry that is as nuanced as citizenship by investment. It soon became apparent that my decisions had a profound and lasting impact on the people who applied to the programme. I had to temper the knowledge and skills I had developed over a long career with the philosophical and conceptual considerations that is now a part of what I do. I am proud to say that I have the most expertise and experience in Citizenship by Investment in Saint Lucia.
